We don't normally look forward to cutting down the banana trees. After all, they are laden with fiber and water -- and they are very heavy!
But look how interesting and pretty the trunk is after it has been cut!

Terrie - this is so fascinating. I had to go look up banana wood to see if anything is made from banana trees! It's beautiful. I think it's so fun to see what you post because your vegetation and climate are so different from mine!
